How to Make the Best Protein Shake – A Delicious Daily Recipe

Why this is the best protein shake you’ll ever make

Disclaimer to some of those that we love. This recipe contains half of one banana. We did attempt to create the same level of taste and texture sans banana 🍌. It is however not the same. For those that we know and love and who don’t like banana, we might have failed you.

Okay, enough silliness. Let’s get into one of our favorite go-to protein shakes that we make on a daily basis. It’s funny that some reviews for Garden of Life Sport Organic Plant Based Protein are less than favorable in two primary areas – taste and texture.

First off, we are not vegans. We eat meat. However, we believe that good health comes from a balanced diet. Plant based protein helps us hit our daily protein goals with minimal saturated fats and cholesterol which is one thing that we both like to keep an eye on. Our thinking is that we want to reserve our intake of saturated fats and cholesterol to foods that we enjoy eating – not in our shakes.

This is maintenance (we are supplementing to hit our protein goals while maintaining our desired caloric intake.

Thinking about being a carnivore and living on ribeye and tri tip steaks – get a blood test first to see your type of cholesterol (but we digress).
